TGIF & the sunshine award

First of all – happy happy Friday! This was a long week for me, as I was busy with rehearsals for the show I’m directing/choreographing (Once on this Island, or OOTI as most musical theatre nerds know it). In addition to work, I am a board member at a local community theatre, so I’ve been helping with their spring auditions. So much theatre, so little time!! This weekend will be much appreciated.

Also, rabbit rabbit, as it’s February 1st!

Kate @ Quarter Century Southern Living has nominated me for another survey-prompting award. Like the last one, this consists of 10 questions, which will be, in turn, asked to other bloggers. It’s like a blog version of chain mail. I’m always up for a good survey so let’s do it. But first, the “rules”:

01) Who is your favorite philosopher? 

This question is freaking me out. As Kate said, it’s a pretty intense question to start on! I’m getting scary flashbacks of freshman seminar from college (lovingly nicknamed FYSEM). Images are dancing in my head like this:

Honestly, I think I just broke out in hives a little. Can I just pull a K-Cheno as Sally from Charlie Brown and sing “My New Philosophy” as a response to this question?

02) What is your favorite number?

Ok truthfully- it’s 9. And the reason is…don’t laugh…because there were 9 members of the fellowship of the ring. I’ll pause so your laughter can die down. But ever since I was younger, I’d always choose that number at the end of usernames or passwords- it was easy to remember!

03) What is your favorite animal?

I think it’s pretty obvious by now… Koalas!!! And cats.

05) What is your favorite time of day?

It depends. During the week, I love the evenings- hanging out at home, cooking dinner, catching up on some tv. On the weekends, I am all about the mornings. Sometimes it’s nice to sleep in, waking up to bright sunshine from the windows, but I also love getting up early and starting my day.

06) What was your favorite holiday?

This year, it was probably Christmas and Thanksgiving, tied up. I just love spending time with family, not really worrying about work or daily life. It’s great to relax, eat good food, cook, and drink wine.

07) What is your favorite physical activity?

I love pilates & yoga, but my all-time favorite is definitely dancing! Whether it is for a class, in a show, teaching choreo, “clubbing” (haha did I just write that?), or even just having a solo dance party in my living room- nothing beats it!

08) What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?

Unsweetened iced tea with lemon. OR half iced tea, half lemonade. Yum.

09) What is your favorite flower?

I’m not usually a huge fan of getting flowers, as they tend to die and get smelly, but every once in a while it is a pleasant surprise and sweet gesture! I love white roses and sunflowers.

10) What is your passion?

Musical theatre is obviously my “passion”, but I can’t just pick one! Cooking, blogging, friends, family…all of those are up there as well.
